LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Spalding University has announced Eric Garvey as its new head coach for the men's volleyball team. The announcement comes as the university launches Louisville's first ever NCAA men's volleyball program.

The team will be a part of the Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MVCL), a men's volleyball conference in NCAA Division III.

Garvey was previously head coach at Union Volleyball Club, where he served for several years before being promoted to club director. He also served as head varsity coach at Sacred Hart Academy, where he was a two-time state runner-up and achieved number one rankings nationally with two different teams.

Garvey arrives at Spalding with over 20 years of head coaching experience. Garvey has spent his career building quality relationships with athletes and their families, assisting over 150 former players in achieving their dreams of playing collegiately.

The program is recruiting for the 2025-2026 season.
