UW-Stout Athletics to Add Men's Soccer

MENOMONIE – University of Wisconsin-Stout athletics is expanding to 20 varsity sports with the addition of men's soccer.

Wisconsin's Polytechnic University has launched a national search for a coach who will recruit and develop a full team ready for competition by fall 2024.

Men's soccer becomes the 20th NCAA varsity sport in UW-Stout's sports module and the ninth NCAA varsity sport for men.

Stout joins three other UW System schools in the WIAC and the 415 NCAA Division III men's soccer programs nationwide.

The men's soccer team will play home games on the recently resurfaced Nelson Field, which is home to the Blue Devils women's soccer and lacrosse teams.

"We will continue to review our sports module and work with our administration as we look to the future expansion of Blue Devils Athletics," Director of Athletics Duey Naatz said.
