FERRUM, Virginia -- Director of Athletics Cleive Adams has announced the hiring of Andre Kidd as Head Men's and Women's Cross Country and Track & Field Coach at Ferrum College. Kidd comes to Ferrum from Patrick & Henry Community College, where he served the past six years as Head Cross Country/Track & Field Coach from 2018-24.
At Patrick & Henry CC, Kidd handled all aspects of the Patriot track and field and cross country programs, including recruiting, daily practice preparation, equipment and uniform purchases, travel and meal arrangements, and compliance with all NJCAA regulations, rules and policies.
"I am excited to have Coach Kidd joining our athletic department as the new Head Men's and Women's Cross Country and Track & Field Coach," said Adams. "He has over a decade of experience in the profession, serving at both the high school and college level. His local and regional ties will be instrumental in his impact on our program. I am excited about the future of our program and look forward to partnering with Coach Kidd as we strive to build a program that will be a destination of choice for student-athletes within and beyond our recruiting footprint."
Prior to his work at Patrick & Henry CC, Kidd served as Head Track & Field Coach at Patrick County High School from 2009-14, Head Track & Field Coach at Martinsville High School from 2007-09, and Assistant Track & Field Coach at Bassett High School from 2005-07.
Kidd begins work with the Panthers on August 1.
