ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Oakland University Athletic Department today announced the resignation of Head Baseball Coach
Jordon Banfield, effective July 16.
After four seasons at the helm of the Golden Grizzlies, Coach Banfield has decided to step down to pursue new opportunities.

"It's all I've ever wanted professionally and building this program the last four years has been an absolute dream fulfilled. Oakland will always be home to me and I am forever a Golden Grizzly fan. I leave behind a group of tremendous people and know that the program is in good hands. We've proven you can win at Oakland and I look forward to watching the team achieve even greater success in the years to come."

He has helped place the Oakland University baseball program on its current upward trajectory, poised for even greater success."
