Greencastle, Ind. - Brian Wright, DePauw associate professor of kinesiology and chair of the kinesiology department, will serve as the interim head men's swimming and diving coach for the remainder of the 2022-23 season while head coach Adam Cohen is on medical leave.
Wright is in his 10th year as a faculty member and, prior to taking this role at DePauw he was head swim coach at Austin College for five years and a club swim coach in Bloomington, Ind., while completing his PhD in Human Performance.
Brian's specialty as an academic relates to quantifying competitive training in athletes and he worked as a member in the Counsilman Center for the Science of Swimming as a student at Indiana University. He is a former Division III athlete and prior to the 2020 season spent time regularly assisting with the swim teams.Â
