ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Webster University Director of Athletics, Scott Kilgallon, has announced the hiring of Nenad Curic as the sixth Head Coach of the men's soccer program. Curic will start on Monday, March 27th.

"After a very competitive search resulting in highly qualified candidates, I am pleased to announce that Nenad Curic will lead our men's soccer program as the new head coach", said Kilgallon. "Coach Curic has been a successful player and coach. He has a tremendous tactical soccer IQ and strong recruiting ties to the St. Louis area, nationally, and internationally. I am excited to see our talented men's soccer program move to the next level under his leadership. I want to thank the search committee for a job well done and welcome Nenad and his family to Webster University and Gorlok Athletics."

Curic comes to Webster University after serving as the Men's Assistant Soccer Coach at Lindenwood (Mo.) University since 2005. He helped guide the team at three different collegiate levels including NAIA, NCAA Division II, and NCAA Division I. While at Lindenwood, his team won NCAA Regional Championships in 2012, 2013, and 2016. He was a part of the staff that was named the Central Region Coaching Staff of the Year in both 2016 and 2017. In 2013, Curic helped guide the Lions to an 18-1-3 overall record while finishing as the top ranked team in the country at the end of the regular season.

In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Curic has been a part of numerous club teams in the St. Louis area including FC Real St. Louis, St. Louis Scott Gallagher, and FC Bordo. He also served as the SFS Coordinator at Lindenwood University from 2008 to 2022.

Curic played at Lindenwood during his collegiate career and was inducted into the Lindenwood Athletics Hall of Fame in 2015 for his playing days. He was a two-time honorable mention All-American and a three-time All-HAAC selection. He was a member of the first Lions men's soccer team to advance to the NAIA National Tournament in 2000 and also helped the team earn national bids in 2001 and 2003. During those four seasons, Lindenwood won two conference championships and two regional championships, went 78-13-5, and built the foundation that led to the 2004 National Championship. Curic used his final year of eligibility in 2010 and helped Lindenwood go 13-6-1 in its final season in the NAIA.

Curic is a three-time graduate of Lindenwood University. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and master's degrees in both human resources and international business. While in college, Curic was an intern for the U.S. Army as an interpreter.
