"I am excited to have Nathan as part of our team," said van der Merwe. Anderson first joined the UCLA athletics department in 2017 as an account executive, where he generated revenue through football and men's basketball season ticket and group sales. After four months in that role, he moved into development as an assistant director. For two years, he managed a 200-member donor portfolio, led sport-specific fundraising efforts for swim & dive and women's rowing. During this time, Anderson secured over $500,000 in new major gifts towards annual fund and capital campaigns.
Anderson is a 2016 graduate of the University of Cincinnati, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management and was a student-athlete on the swimming team. While at Cincinnati, he was the 2016 Scholar Athlete of the Year and a member of the all-conference academic team.
