Harry Bailey Named Interim Head Coach of Adrian College Football; Jim Deere Resigns

ADRIAN, Mich. – Harry Bailey, '09, was named interim head coach of the Adrian College football team on Tuesday afternoon after Adrian College accepted the resignation of head football coach, Jim Deere. Deere has totaled a record of 76-60 during his 14-year career. Under Deere's direction, the Bulldogs won the 2012 and 2014 MIAA Championship.

"Adrian College is extremely thankful for all of the years Coach Deere has given to Adrian College and our football program," said Athletic Director Craig Rainey. "We wish Coach Deere much success in his future endeavors."

Offensive Coordinator, Harry Bailey, will move in as Interim Head Coach of the Bulldogs for the remainder of the season. The rest of the coaching staff will remain the same.

The College will commence a search for a new head football coach at the conclusion of the 2023 season.

Adrian's next contest will be at home on Saturday, October 28 when they host Albion College at 3:00 PM.
