Geoff Hassard Named NEC Athletics Assistant Director
HENNIKER, N.H. – Geoff Hassard has been named as Assistant Athletic Director of the New England College athletics department in an announcement by NEC Director of Athletics Dave DeCew on Monday.

Hassard brings more than three decades of athletics administration experience to the role, most recently having spent the last 23 years as the Assistant Athletic Director and Director of Sports Information of SUNY Oneonta.

"We are thrilled to welcome Geoff to our NEC Athletics family." DeCew said in a statement. "Even with a competitive pool of applicants, Geoff's experience and leadership made him a great choice. We know he will help us continue to move our programs forward."

Hassard earned national and regional recognition during his time at Oneonta, as he served on the CoSIDA national board, was President of the ECAC-SIDA, and was an Irving T. Marsh Award winner.

Prior to heading to Oneonta, Hassard spent five years as the Sports Information Director of WPI in Worcester, Massachusetts, and he has family ties in the New England region.

"First of all, I want to thank the committee and Athletic Director Dave DeCew for offering the opportunity to be a member of the New England College athletic family." Hassard said. "I am passionate about Division III athletics and feel that my 30 years of experience will allow me to make a positive contribution to the student athletes and college community."

Hassard's first day at NEC is October 2nd.
