Billy Peck Named Associate AD for Revenue & Special Projects

Peck joins Denver’s external operations staff, will oversee the athletic department’s partnership with Playfly’s ticketing and sponsorship revenue generation

DENVER – A well-established revenue generator and experienced manager of customer service and sales, Billy Peck has been named the University of Denver's Associate Athletic Director for Revenue and Special Projects, Vice Chancellor for Athletics and Ritchie Center Operations Josh Berlo announced on Thursday.

"We are very excited to welcome Billy Peck to our external team," Berlo said. "His deep and successful background from a wide variety of ticket operations and services will help our team generate new ideas with the goal of bringing bigger and better environments to our competition venues."

Peck's previous stints of revenue generating success have come at the University of Montana, Seattle University and the University of Washington. The University of Notre Dame graduate served as the Director of Ticketing in his last three years at Montana.

"Billy's position will help develop and execute ideas for revenue generation throughout the athletic department, including a focus on our ticketing and sponsorship teams," Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Operations and Service Angel Field said. "We're thrilled to get Billy on board and know he will do great things as a Pio to help elevate the fan experience and generate additional resources for our teams as they compete for championships."

At Montana, Peck's ticketing team increased football ticket revenue by 10%, and football mini-plan revenue by nearly 500%. During his tenure, Montana football had its highest-grossing game and school-record attendance in November 2021. Peck implemented a digital-first philosophy while at Montana, leading to more than $100,000 in new revenue over a two-year span.

"First of all, I am thankful for the many wonderful colleagues and mentors I've had the opportunity to learn from over the years, especially most recently at the University of Montana," Peck said. "With this new opportunity, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Josh Berlo and Angel Field for this exciting role. It is a privilege to serve the Denver community as a part of the Pioneer family, and I look forward to working alongside the rock-star team at DU."

During Peck's time at Seattle, men's basketball ticket revenue jumped up 40%, one of four sports that saw a double-digit increase during the 2019-20 school year. The other three programs that saw the biggest growth were men's soccer (62%), women's soccer (27%) and volleyball (24%). While at Seattle, Peck managed all email and database marketing, and the advertising budget.

In his time at the University of Washington, Peck led the re-seating process for more than 13,000 accounts that were responsible for more than 45,000 season ticket seats. He also served as the manager and supervisor of ticket operations for more than 80 regular and post-season NCAA games.

Following his graduation at Notre Dame, Peck worked as an assistant equipment manager with the Irish for three years.
