UNA ANNOUNCES EXTENSION OF ADIDAS APPAREL CONTRACT

Game One brought on to service adidas partnership
 
FLORENCE, AL – University of North Alabama director of athletics Dr. Josh Looney announced a multi-year extension of the athletic department's apparel contract with adidas on January 12. The new agreement extends UNA's affiliation with adidas through the 2026-27 academic year. In addition, Game One will be brought on board as the athletic department's service provider of adidas products, starting July 1, 2023.
 
"Adidas has been an outstanding partner to UNA Athletics during our NCAA re-classification process and rise in Division I athletics," said Looney. "We're excited to elevate our partnership with a global brand that recognizes and values the incredible growth happening throughout the University of North Alabama. With the addition of Game One as our service provider, UNA student-athletes will enjoy expanded access to top-of-the-line footwear, training apparel, game uniforms, and performance wear."
 
The new four-year deal extends an ongoing partnership with Adidas that began in 2017, just prior to the University beginning its four-year re-classification period to achieve NCAA Division I status.

Leona Marketing Group consulted with North Alabama on the contract extension. The LEONA Group also recently paired with UNA Athletics to sign Taymar Sales U as UNA's outbound ticket sales and operations provider, and assisted UNA in securing its partnership with Peak Sports to oversee the athletic department's multimedia rights.
