NEWARK, Del. – A collegiate administrator with over two decades of experience, Angie Hull has joined Delaware Athletics as Deputy Athletic Director, Sport Administration and Student Success/Senior Woman Administrator, Director of Athletics, Community, and Campus Recreation Chrissi Rawak announced Monday.

"I'm excited to welcome Angie, David, Dylan and Lincoln to the Blue Hen family!" Rawak said. "Angie brings tremendous experience and a wealth of knowledge that will have an immediate impact on our department.  She is committed to developing genuine relationships and providing a high quality experience for our student-athletes."

At Delaware, Hull will serve on the department's executive team, responsible for leading the strategy, execution, and assessment in the areas of sport administration and student-athlete success, which includes academic, career, leadership, name, image and likeness, and compliance & governance programs for 21 varsity sports and the spirit program.

"Leaving Kent State was going to take a very special opportunity," Hull said. "The momentum building at the University of Delaware, along with Chrissi Rawak's vision for the future created an ideal fit. There is an energy at UD that is undeniable. My family is excited to start a new adventure in Delaware and are eager to become members of the Blue Hen family! I also would like to thank Kent State Athletic Director, Randale Richmond and Deputy AD, Greg Glaus for their mentorship and friendship over the past 16 years - this opportunity at the University of Delaware would not be possible without their model of exceptional leadership."

Hull comes to Newark after nearly 17 years at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, most recently serving as Senior Associate AD. In that role, she had oversight of academics, diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, student-athlete development, and name, image and likeness initiatives. A member of the Athletics' Executive Team, she was the sport administrator for women's gymnastics as well as the men's and women's track and field and cross country programs. In addition, Hull served as the lead academic counselor for the football team.

Under her leadership, Kent State developed benchmark development programs such as the Coaches Leadership Academy, the Most Valuable Professor (MVP) recognition, and the Gold Standard student development pathway. The academic team led by Hull saw consistent increases in team GPA, topping a 3.395 average in the most recent term with over 52% of student-athletes achieving Dean's list (3.4+) recognition. Hull also played a key role with the strategic visioning process as well as general policy and procedure creation for the department.

Having twice represented the NCAA as a facilitator for the NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum, Hull is actively involved in the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics (N4A), is a graduate of the N4A Professional Development Institute, and has recently served as an on-campus consultant for NACDA/N4A program reviews.

Prior to joining the Golden Flashes staff, Hull served as an academic advisor in the College of Arts & Sciences at Kent State and a Graduate Assistant in New Student Orientation at The University of Akron.

An Ohio native, Hull earned her bachelor of arts in fashion merchandising and master of arts in higher education administration from The University of Akron.

Angie and her husband, David, are the parents of daughter, Dylan and son, Lincoln.
