Nick Soto Steps Down as Head Coach of Keiser Wrestling

Keiser Director of Athletics Kris Swogger announced on Thursday that Nick Soto has stepped down as head coach of the Keiser wrestling program.

"I want to thank the Keiser administration for the opportunity to coach here," Soto said. "I wish the program the best of luck in the future."

Soto wrapped up his third season as Keiser's head coach having coached five all-conference players. He led the Seahawks to two NAIA National Championship appearances as Keiser produced two NAIA All-Americans. Off the mat, 13 wrestlers earned academic all-conference honors and two NAIA Scholar-Athletes.  Soto earned his degree from UT Chattanooga where he was a four-time SoCon Champion.

"I want to thank Nick for his time at Keiser University, and for all that he was able to do in his short time with our wrestling program," Swogger said. "When he was hired, we established objectives for the program, both on and off the mat, and he was able to achieve the majority of those goals.  I wish him luck in his next role, and I look forward to our next Head Coach building on the success that Coach Soto was able to achieve with the Seahawks."

A national search for Keiser's new head coach will begin immediately.
