Bolivar, Mo. – SBU head women's soccer coach Stefan Skillman announces transition to Assistant AD for Operations/Facilities and Game Management. Skillman will step down as head women's soccer coach.

"We are excited for Stefan to make the transition to administration.  His strengths really align with the needs from that position for our department.  We are so thankful for his hard work with our women's soccer team and now are looking for him to help build our entire athletic department.  It's a great day to be a Bearcat!" - Director of Athletics Clark Sheehy 

He has been at the helm of the Bearcats for the past five seasons. He has graduated 23 players through this time as well as he will be graduating six from his first recruiting class this year. In Fall of 2023, he led the team to their best season in eight years. Skillman has coached one All-GLVC member in Reagan Edwards who earned 3^rd Team All-GLVC in 2021.
 
Skillman has always put a high value on academics with his team earning All-GLVC Academic team every year while coaching in the GLVC. As well, he has coached his athletes to 89 Academic All-GLVC awards. 27 Brother James Gaffney Awards which is given to those who maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA throughout the school year. He has also coached 9 Council of President awards which is earned by those who maintained a 3.5 GPA or higher throughout their collegiate career.
