Post Athletics Launches New Website Update Via SideArm Sports

WATERBURY, Conn. -- Today, Post University Athletics launched their new website update through their web client partner SideArm Sports after working on the project over the last several months in a collaborative effort between the Post Athletic Department and SideArm Sports since October 2023.

"When we were approached by SideArm Sports and Account Executive Michael Bielak in early October about the opportunity to upgrade our website, there had already been discussions about wanting to pursue changing our site up so it was a no-brainer to move forward with," said Post University's Director of Athletic Communications Michael Vesci.

From there, it was a collaborative effort between Project Manager Zach Anderson and Website Designer Megan Costello along with the athletics department and Post University to help bring the vision of a new website to life for Post Athletics, a process that took multiple rounds of changes to the initial design over the holidays as well as tweaks to color designs and shapes until the desired appearance was created and all parties were on board.

"Zach and Megan were great to work with on this redesign, they were fully transparent with the timeline, thorough in their communication with us, and tremendously quick with getting us the edits and design changes that the people on our end requested during the project. They took us through step-by-step in great detail from the time we began this project until our launch date today which made the process incredibly smooth," said Vesci.

The new web design provides web visitors the ability to interact with the site's features both via computer and mobile device with ease to be able to access statistics, news, and updates for their favorite Post Athletics teams while providing a more vibrant and modern layout. The new web design launched this morning February 27th, 2024 at 9:30 AM.

In closing about the website, Vesci said, "Our main goals with the website was to make it easier for our fans to engage with Post Athletics online and on their mobile devices, showcase our athletes on the front page, and work to align our color scheme and branding on the site in a way where it mirrors the branding of Post University's education website. Since getting here, I have made it a point to make sure my team and I have been listening to what our athletic department, student-athletes, fans, and campus community have desired that we can make possible."

"The website was one of those things that will help all four areas interact with Post Athletics better. I am most excited about being able to showcase our student-athletes achievements regularly on the front page, the anticipated improvement of navigation/loading speeds with this updated browser as this had been an issue, and the better interface design on mobile devices which will help our fans, campus community, potential recruits, and my team access live scoring and video easier during Post Athletic events."
