COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Daniel Clitnovici, who spent the last two years as head coach of the Ursinus College men's soccer team, has stepped down to take on an opportunity as head coach of the women's soccer team at Texas A&M Corpus Christi.
 
"I've enjoyed my time at Ursinus College, it's a great school, and they love their athletics," said Clitnovici. "It's a bittersweet move for my family as we enjoyed our time here and we will always have a place in our hearts for this place. The Men's Soccer program is in a good place, the team is hungry, and I will miss the boys but I'm sure they will do well as they are a very talented and committed group".
 
 
Clitnovici compiled an 12-17-5 overall record in the previous two years as the head coach of the Bears Men's Soccer program. He coached a pair of All-Centennial selections this past year in Tommy Mollis and Julian Faust. He also commanded a strong classroom presence as the men's soccer team earned 20 Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll selections while Joshua Coster (2023) and Marco Grenda (2022) earned spots on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team.
 
 
"Coach Clitnovici has been a positive presence in our Coaches' Row hallway for the past two years," said Ursinus Athletic Director Erin Stroble. "He led the men's soccer program with tremendous integrity and passion in addition to working diligently to offer his student-athletes a wonderful UC experience. He will be greatly missed, and we wish him nothing but the best as he ventures into his new position at Texas A&M Corpus Christi."
 
 
 
Ursinus will begin the search for Clitnovici's replacement immediately.
