Fonseca takes over soccer reins at SUNY Morrisville

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – SUNY Morrisville Director of Athletics, Matt Grawrock, has announced the appointment of Corey Fonseca as the head men's soccer coach for the Mustangs, beginning March 5.

"I'm tremendously excited to bring Corey on as our new head men's soccer coach," Grawrock said.

"We had a remarkable pool, with a number of candidates that had distinguished track records. Corey rose to the top in that group quickly.

"We were impressed with his vision and ideas for where to take the program. He has a proven resume of winning, and we also felt that his recruiting ties here in the region and beyond would match what we're looking for and what we need to make big steps in the coming years. His familiarity with this area was a plus as we knew he'd have background to help us compete in the SUNYAC.

"I was impressed by his attention to details and the drive to push our program forward. I believe wholeheartedly that he will make a great impression on the young men in the team, and the ones he will recruit. I am confident that he is the right leader for our program, and I look forward to the future of the program with Corey taking the lead."
