Riepenhoff Named Senior Assoc. A.D. for Student-Athlete Success

Second promotion in as many years also pushes her into role as Senior Woman Administrator

EASTON, Pa. – Carly Riepenhoff, who came to Lafayette in 2016 and has served in various roles, has been promoted to Senior Associate Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Success/Senior Woman Administrator (SWA).

"Carly has made outstanding contributions over the last eight years to support the development and growth of our student-athletes," said Lafayette Director of Athletics Sherryta Freeman. "Her leadership has enabled our programs to maintain excellence in academics while continuing to strive for competitive success. Under her direction, our student-athletes have achieved record performance in the classroom and are contributing as leaders throughout campus. I am confident that her positive influence will extend more broadly throughout the department in this new role."

Riepenhoff will continue to serve as a liaison between the academic division and the athletic department as a member of the Athletics Leadership Team. Her role includes the oversight of all facets of the academic support service programs and student-athlete development initiatives.

"I am excited for Carly in her new role," said Tim Cox, Dean of Advising and Co-Curricular Programs. "Her efforts in cultivating an inclusive community of high-achieving student-athletes have not gone unnoticed. Whether it is through mid-term grade outreach or walking through complex scenarios in advising, I look forward to our continued work together as we enrich the student experience here at the College."

Under her guidance, Lafayette athletics continues to excel in the academic realm, as 255 student-athletes were named to the Dean's List in the fall semester while 150 were selected for the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. In the latest NCAA Graduation Success Rate (GSR) rankings, Lafayette's GSR of 98 was the second-best mark in the nation.

In her expanded role, Riepenhoff will coordinate various events and initiatives across the department including the PARDees and the staff development program while acting as a point of contact for human resources and serving as a sport administrator. She will continue to manage programs in support of the student-athlete experience, including New Student-Athlete Orientation, the annual Student-Athlete Welcome Back Picnic, Peer Mentor Program, SAAC, and the Oaks Leadership Academy.

Riepenhoff arrived at Lafayette in 2016 as the Coordinator of Student-Athlete Academic Support. She was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Development and Academic Support in 2019 and Associate Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Services in 2023. From 2016-2019, Riepenhoff also served as an assistant softball coach for Leopards. She is a member of various campus and league committees such as Student Support and Intervention, the Restorative Justice team, and the Patriot League Anti-Racism Commission while also serving as a Title IX hearing advisor and decision maker.

In her new role as the SWA, Riepenhoff will represent Lafayette Athletics on the Patriot League Sports Management Committee and Committee on Athletic Administration.
