Cynthia Casimir tabbed to lead Trinity Women's Volleyball

PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. - Cynthia Casimir will become the eighth head coach of the Trinity Christian Women's Volleyball program, announced by Director of Athletics Wendy Reid on Monday.

Casimir joins the Trolls' athletic staff with ten years of experience in the sport, having most recently served as an assistant coach with NCAA Division II program West Alabama. Casimir also bring head coach experience to Trinity, after leading the beach volleyball program at Spring Hill (Ala.) and stepping in as the interim head coach at Olivet Nazarene for the 2019 season. That year, the Tigers would finish 14-4 in the CCAC, reaching the semifinals of the conference tournament.

"We're excited to have Cynthia join us here at Trinity," said Reid. "She brings a level of intensity that I believe will continue to grow our program into one that consistently competes at the top of the CCAC."

A graduate of South Alabama, where she served as a student manager for the volleyball program, Casimir also has previous experience at a number of collegiate and club programs including Lawson State CC (Ala.), Southern Performance VC, and Mobile Storm VC.

Last fall, the Trolls placed third in the CCAC, finishing with an 8-6 league record, their best in three seasons. Three players were named to the All-CCAC Team, including setter Alexis Bartz, who was honored as the conference's Freshman of the Year.
