Wisconsin Athletics Strengthens NIL Operations

Badgers adding in-house ASP Partner Services Manager

MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin Athletics is reinforcing its commitment to enhancing athlete revenue opportunities by introducing an in-house NIL Partner Services Manager (PSM) through an expanded collaboration with Altius Sports Partners (ASP), a prominent advisor to collegiate athletics departments. The Partner Services Manager marks the second ASP position in Madison after Paige Sadoff, NIL Athlete Marketing Manager (AMM), arrived on campus in August 2023. ASP will oversee the recruitment, training, and management of the Partner Services Manager, ensuring comprehensive support for athletes across Wisconsin's 23 sports.

The new on-campus position will specifically focus on nurturing existing business opportunities and exploring new engagements with external entities such as businesses, brands, donors and community stakeholders to develop valuable opportunities for Badger athletes.

"In our commitment to the holistic development of our student-athletes, we strive to provide them with an array of resources and expert counsel right at their fingertips," said Mitchell Pinta, UW Deputy Athletic Director. "With the addition of the ASP NIL Partner Services Manager, our focus sharpens on developing commercial opportunities that will serve our student-athletes, ensuring they have the support, guidance, and opportunities to thrive both on and off the field."

With leadership from UW Director of NIL Strategy Brian Mason, the ASP Partner Services Manager will work closely with Corie Linn, Badger Sports Properties Manager of NIL Business Development, and Sadoff, the full-time ASP Athlete Marketing Manager. Sadoff's role involves education, communication, and coordination for Wisconsin athletes, providing daily support, training, and oversight. She collaborates with Wisconsin's student services units on educational initiatives and with the athletics compliance staff to uphold regulations.

The goal of this team is to encourage engagement in athlete revenue initiatives at Wisconsin by supporting existing partnerships, developing new opportunities with business and community leaders and, overall, streamlining the process for those interested in doing business with athletes.

Wisconsin stands out as the only program nationwide boasting both an AMM and PSM through Altius Sports Partners' on-campus program and a dedicated Manager of NIL Business Development through LEARFIELD's Allied+ program.

"With multiple full-time ASP-trained personnel on campus in addition to a dedicated Badger Sports Properties sales role, Wisconsin Athletics is proactively empowering its athletes by offering unrivaled knowledge and support services across all facets of NIL," said Celine Mangan, Vice President, ASP College. "The PSM role is designed to ensure the entire external Badger universe is fully aware and engaged. We are excited to identify the right person to complement the current standout team in Madison to augment the support system for Wisconsin athletes in every aspect of their NIL journey."

The ASP on-campus program, launched in July 2022, is designed to centralize support services for NIL within athletics departments. The program prioritizes customized education, strategic guidance, and execution support tailored to meet each institution's specific needs and priorities. Seventeen schools participate in the program, with full-time trained ASP personnel stationed on campus to equip athletes with the necessary tools and resources to maximize opportunities.
