Morris Stepping Down as Bethany Women's Soccer Coach

MANKATO, Minn. – Bethany Lutheran College Co Athletic Director Pat Garvin has accepted the resignation of head women's soccer coach Emma Morris effective February 14, 2024.

"We're very thankful for all that Emma has brought to our athletic department during her time here at Bethany," said Garvin. "We wish her all the best in her future endeavors."

Morris led the Vikings for five seasons (2019-23) including the program's most successful season for wins (13) in 2021. Posting an overall record of 47-33-4, Morris' teams qualified for Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) playoffs in each of her five seasons at the helm.

Morris said, "I am extremely blessed to have worked with the players, coaches, and support staff who have been a part of the program for the last five years. I would like to thank my friends and family for their unconditional love, support, guidance, and encouragement. It has been an honor to work for Bethany where I have developed personally and professionally from the experience and I wish them continued success. I look forward to starting the next chapter of my coaching career and I'm excited for the opportunity."

Following the recently-completed 2023 season, a record seven players earned UMAC All-Conference accolades with three going on to earn All-Region status. In total, the Vikings had 27 players named to All-Conference teams during Morris' five seasons at the helm.

A search for the next Bethany Lutheran College women's soccer coach will begin immediately.
