Prewett Hired as Senior Associate Athletic Director/Chief Financial Officer; Three Move into Assistant Athletic Director Roles

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis Athletics has hired Haley Prewett as Senior Associate Athletic Director/Chief Financial Officer and Ariel Mroz-Brewer as Assistant Athletic Director, Development, as well as promoted Garrett Bean to Assistant Athletic Director, Facilities and Operations and Josh Moore to Assistant Athletic Director, Marketing and Game Presentation.
 
"We are excited to welcome Haley and Ariel to our athletic department and pleased to reward Garrett and Josh for their work with well-deserved promotions," University of Memphis Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Laird Veatch said. "All of these positions are vital roles as our department continues to ascend, and we could not be more thrilled to have a group of professionals like Haley, Ariel, Garrett and Josh in important leadership roles."
 
Prior to joining Memphis Athletics as its CFO and member of the athletic department Senior Staff, Prewett spent July 2020-Jan. 2024 as the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Business Operations at Georgia Southern University. At Georgia Southern, Prewett created and maintained the $30 million-plus budget, oversaw payment processing for all athletic department and Athletic Foundation expenditures, assisted in developing all departmental contractual agreements and had oversight of athletics human resources. She also had sport supervision of women's soccer and women's golf.
 
Prior to Georgia Southern, Prewett worked at Ole Miss for four years from Jan. 2016-July 2020. A native of Russellville, Ark., Prewett graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Accounting in 2014. She earned a pair of Master's degrees from UCF, first her M.B.A. in 2015 and then in sport business management in 2016. She also earned her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in 2018.
 
Mroz-Brewer comes to Memphis Athletics after spending nearly three years with the Memphis Grizzlies in their ticket sales department. She first served as an Inside Sales Representative before moving into an Account Executive role in the NBA franchise's group sales department. With the Grizzlies, Mroz-Brewer worked to sell group and business outings, premium tickets, season tickets and more.
 
Mroz-Brewer earned her Bachelor of Science in Sports Administration from Castleton (Vt.) University in 2016, and she completed an M.B.A. at Utica (N.Y.) College in May 2019.
 
Bean came to Memphis in Oct. 2021 as Director, Facilities and Operations before moving into his new role. Bean oversees multiple full-time members of Memphis' Facilities and Operations staff as well as assists in master athletics facility planning, and he has managed capital projects that have totaled over $1 million. Additionally, Bean coordinates on-campus athletic efforts with facilities management, custodial, grounds and labor, parking, police, parking and transit, campus groups, community groups and other community partners to ensure successful events.
 
Bean's previous work experience includes stops at Arizona State and Cincinnati. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Sports Administration with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati in Aug. 2017, and he finished a Master's degree in Sports Administration at Cincinnati in Aug. 2019.
 
Moore arrived in Memphis in Aug. 2021 as Assistant Director of Game Presentation and was promoted to Director of Marketing and Game Presentation in Feb. 2022 before earning a promotion to Assistant Athletic Director. Moore is Memphis' lead marketing contact for football and men's basketball, and he oversees an office that includes four full-time staff members and a host of student interns. Moore has implemented numerous improvements to football and men's basketball gamedays since his arrival in Memphis, including 2022's "901 Week" leading up to the football home opener, which won a NACMA award for community engagement.
 
Before coming to Memphis, Moore worked at Cincinnati and Wake Forest, and he earned his Bachelor's degree in History from Wofford College in May 2018.
