ATLANTA, Ga. | Clark Atlanta University Director of Athletics Dr. Jerel Drew announced the hiring of Ashleigh Hicks as the Assistant Athletic Director for Business Operations on Friday, February 3, 2023. 

Ashleigh Hicks enters her first year as Assistant AD of Business Operations at Clark Atlanta University following a stint as Director of Business Operations and Administration at Tennessee State University.

During her time at TSU, Hicks supported the Executive Team, managed business operations and special projects, and served as the first point of contact for the Athletic Department. She joined Tennessee State as the Executive Assistant to the Director of Athletics in May 2021.

Prior to Tennessee State, Hicks worked at the University of Michigan where she managed administrative operations for donor relations and events. She also provided administrative and program support for several nonprofit organizations in Detroit, Michigan, including the Urban League and the NFL Alumni Association.

As an undergraduate student at the University of Florida, Hicks was a student-athlete development intern for the University Athletic Association. Additionally, she was an assistant within the Communications, Marketing, and Football departments.

A native of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Hicks earned her bachelor's degree in public relations from the University of Florida in 2016. She received a master's degree in Sports Industry Management from Georgetown University in 2018.
