Kyle Hawk Named Head Women's Volleyball Coach

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. -- Kyle Hawk has been named the sixth head coach of the Penn College volleyball program, it was announced Thursday.

Hawk previously spent three years as the volunteer assistant coach for the Bloomsburg University volleyball program where he assisted with the day-to-day operations, practice plans and recruiting. Hawk helped lead the Huskies to an appearance in the PSAC Championship Quarterfinals in just the program's fourth year of varsity competition.

"We are very excited to welcome Coach Hawk to Penn College," Penn College Director of Athletics Scott Kennell said. "He comes to us from Bloomsburg University where he helped develop a new program and played an instrumental role in the recruitment of the team. Known as a program builder, Coach Hawk will play an important role in elevating our volleyball program within the United East Conference."

Hawk started his coaching career as a volunteer assistant at Virginia State University from 2015-16 and a Wisetown Volleyball Club coach for the 17U and 18U girls teams in Berwick, Pa., from 2021-22.

"I'm excited and humbled to join the Penn College women's volleyball program. My family and I are thrilled to join the Wildcat family and I can't wait to meet the team and begin our journey together."

Hawks began his position on Feb. 19.
