Atlantic Sun Conference Announces Expansion of Partnership With BuzzU

ATLANTA - On Thursday, the Atlantic Sun Conference announced an expansion of its preferred partnership with BuzzU, a leading data analytics firm in the name, image and likeness (NIL) industry.

Five ASUN schools signed up with BuzzU following the announcement of the partnership in December of last year (Austin Peay, EKU, North Alabama, North Florida, Queens) which led to five paid NIL deals with BuzzU ambassadors across the Conference. Based on this initial success, BuzzU is expanding its offering of AVA, the Athlete Virtual Assistant, to all ASUN teams and student-athletes.

“The 'ASUN x BuzzU' partnership has been an incredible launch. Athletes across twenty teams have activated our chatbot AVA to have more authority over their NIL,” BuzzU™ Founder Zach Novoselsky said. “The influential combination of forward thinking admin, led by Commissioner Bacon, and the enthusiasm of ambitious student athletes have prompted a further conference wide activation.”

“Our partnership with BuzzU has exceeded all expectations, and we are now thrilled to be able to offer AVA to our entire membership," ASUN Commissioner Jeff Bacon said. "Zach and his team at BuzzU are phenomenal partners and we thank them for their commitment to enhancing opportunities for Atlantic Sun student-athletes.”

BuzzU equips colleges with tools and data to empower student-athletes on their NIL journey. ASUN teams that opt-in to AVA, the Athlete Virtual Assistant, will provide their athletes access to 24/7 support, local sponsorship opportunities and personal branding strategy. In addition, opted-in teams are guaranteed to receive an NIL deal for at least one of their athletes.
