Carroll Selects Chris Tadley To Lead Pioneers' Women's Soccer Program

WAUKESHA, Wis. - The Carroll University athletics department is proud to announce the hiring of Chris Tadley as the eighth head women's soccer coach in program history. Tadley inherits a team that went 11-6-3 (4-1-3 CCIW) last season, which ended with an appearance in the CCIW Tournament championship game.

"In a highly competitive search and screening process, it was clear that Chris was the right fit to lead our women's soccer program," Carroll Athletic Director Michael Schulist said. "Chris has a unique blend of D-III experience, coupled with high-level D-I experience that will  translate well to our highly competitive and successful program."

Tadley comes to Carroll from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he spent the past two years as a volunteer assistant coach in charge of coaching the goal keepers and preparing scouting reports, recruiting, game model development and implementation, and video analysis and film breakdown. While at UW-Madison, Tadley coached two All-Region and All-Big 10 selections, while also coaching a pair of Big 10 All-Freshman honorees.

Prior to his time at UW-Madison, Tadley served as an assistant coach at both the University of Memphis and Lehigh University. His first collegiate coaching position came at Albright College in Reading, Penn., where, in just two years, Tadley moved from assistant to Head Men's Soccer Coach, a role he held from 2015-19. A USSF National C-License holder, Tadley also has 12 years of club soccer coaching experience..

"I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work at Carroll with this special group of student-athletes. They have had a significant amount of success in their time here and I hope to create an environment that cultivates that level of success and beyond for years to come," Tadley said. "I'd like to thank the search committee, Michael Schulist and Mark Krzykowski for all of their time and efforts that went into a very thorough process to ensure an excellent fit for the program and myself. I can't wait to get started with this Carroll team and begin this new chapter of Carroll University Women's Soccer."

A 2012 graduate of Albright, Tadley earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Management, before going on to receive his Master of Science in Special Education from Albright in 2017. As an undergrad, Tadley was a three-time MAC Commonwealth Honor Roll recipient, while also being named MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week three times. A four-year letterwinner and three-year starter, Tadley served as the men's soccer team's co-captain his senior season, which also saw him earn the Derek Kehoe Memorial Award, given to the senior athlete who personifies hard work, toughness, and good citizenship.
