Central Michigan Athletics Redesigns Digital Platform

Central Michigan continues its partnership with Sidearm Sports on new website design.
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich.—Central Michigan Athletics is modernizing its online presence with the newly designed official website of CMU Athletics, www.cmuchippewas.com that launched Thursday morning.
In partnership with SIDEARM Sports, the newest version of the Central Michigan Athletics website will feature SIDEARM's latest NextGen technology, making it easier and quicker for Chippewas fans to access information. Overall, the new design focused on bolstering the user experience for Chippewas fans, alumni, students, athletes, parents, friends, recruits, and other supporters.
New graphic additions include a FireUpChips load screen, new FireUpChips logos, Maroon & Gold color enhancements, recruiting videos and custom modules for advertising events, products, and services. An expanded and cleaner news section will help fans catch up on the latest CMU Athletics news offering more access to information, a new photo gallery module allows fans to access photos of their favorite athletes and events, an enhanced video module provides viewers with more content, and social media site links have been added in a variety of areas.
Each sport page will now feature its own specific social media aggregator, photo gallery, video, and podcast modules. Sections have been expanded for game day information, features on student-athletes and coaches and on accessing daily athletic events. The site will also include the regular rosters, schedules, coaches' bios, student-athlete bios, updated statistics, record books, fan links, and other information. In order to showcase the benefits of attending Central Michigan, a recruiting section is in the process of being built.

SIDEARM NextGen is the latest version of SIDEARM Sports' revolutionary technology, providing a new approach to fan's digital journeys. NextGen brings modern and cutting-edge updates to the software that has powered college athletics for over 20 years.
The upgraded cmuchippewas.com will provide faster site loads, greater stability, enhanced security, a one-of-a-kind digital design system, single sign-on, and much more across official athletic websites, mobile apps, and over-the-top media services.
The newly designed website will continue to seamlessly integrate with the Central Michigan Athletics mobile app. The app can be downloaded at these links (apple, google play) and allows fans to keep up with the latest news for their favorite programs, as well as receive push notifications to their phones for items such as final score updates and upcoming events.
CMUChippewas.com is the official athletics website of the Central Michigan Chippewas. The site provides comprehensive coverage of CMU's 17 intercollegiate sports, including schedules, rosters, current news, feature stories and archived history, as well as links to Trojan tickets and merchandise and specific athletic department pages. There are also links to all of CMU's social media sites for its various sports and departments.
