Shawn Jarmuz returns for his second season as the head coach the Inferno softball team in 2023.
Jarmuz returns to the Milwaukee area, where he had previously served on the staff at Carroll University in Waukesha during the early 2000s. Other coaching stops in the area have included stints with Whitefish Bay High School and Dominican High School.
At Carroll, Jarmuz helped lead the Pioneers to national rankings in four offensive categories including fourth in the nation in home runs, seventh in slugging percentage, 13th in batting average, and 21st in runs scored. Jarmuz also coached the 1997 Wisconsin 18U AAU State Championship Team.
Currently Jarmuz owns Hard Work Gets Me Hits!, a softball and baseball training facility in Joliet, Illinois; owning the organization since February of 2015. While there his responsible for all aspects of the game including hitting, pitching, catching, throwing and defensive efforts.
In Illinois, Jarmuz also had coaching stints at Plainfield South High School, as well as Fuel Sports in Shorewood, Illinois and Eich’s Sports in Plainfield.
Jarmuz played collegiate baseball at Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, before graduating with his Bachelor’s Degree in 1998. He later went on to receive his Master’s Degree from Concordia Wisconsin in 2003.
