DES MOINES, IOWA - Jacob Redman, a former Viking and tennis player, has been selected to lead the Grand View men's and women's tennis programs effective this spring. 

"I am thrilled to be back at Grand View University and ready to take this program to the next level. As an alumnus and former GV tennis player, I clearly envision the program I want to develop," said Redman. 

Redman has built himself an impressive coaching resume over the years, including holding an assistant coaching job at Dowling Catholic High School for the boy's tennis program between 2021-2023, ranking in the top ten in the state, and qualifying several to the state tournament, and had one state singles champion. Across the Des Moines metro, Redman has worked with Johnston and Norwalk schools to coach year-round camps for beginner to intermediate players of all ages. 

Redman closed with, "I am most excited to get this program involved in the Des Moines tennis community to give back and help inspire future tennis players. Skol Vikes!" 

Jacob Redman will begin his tenure as the next head coach of the tennis programs for the spring season at the beginning of the new semester.
