RIVER FALLS, Wis. - UW-River Falls Athletics and the River Falls Baseball Council have agreed on a partnership to make First National Bank of River Falls Field the home of the UW-River Falls baseball team, Director of Athletics Crystal Lanning announced today, Jan. 10, 2024.

"We are excited for the opportunity to partner with the River Falls Baseball Council to make First National Bank of River Falls Field the home of Falcon baseball," said Lanning. "FNBRF Field is a first-class baseball facility, and this partnership will allow our baseball student-athletes to practice and compete at one of the best venues in the region."

Opened in 2014, First National Bank of River Falls Field had artificial turf installed in 2019 and is also home to the Wisconsin Baseball Associations' River Falls Fighting Fish town ball team, the River Falls Groupers 35-and-over Baseball, River Falls Wildcats High School and American Legion Baseball, and River Falls Youth Baseball & Softball.

"We are so excited to partner with UW-River Falls," said Greg Peters, River Falls Baseball Council President. "Everyone at the University has been outstanding to work with and we are super excited to have Falcon baseball back!"

The UW-River Falls baseball program was recently reinstated after a 21-year absence, and the Falcons will be set to compete at the varsity level during the 2024-25 academic year.

"First National Bank of River Falls Field is a state-of-the-art complex for baseball development, competition and the fan experience," said UWRF head baseball coach Steve Bartlein. "I'm excited for the community, UWRF and our student-athletes. Thanks to the RFBC for their tireless efforts to provide a first-class facility to the River Falls community. We look forward to opening day Spring 2025!"
