Jeff Maciejewski Promoted to Head Men's and Women's Golf Coach

| By:
LUBBOCK, Texas - Lubbock Christian University Director of Athletics, Andrew Sorrells, announces the promotion of Jeff Maciejewski to head men's and women's golf Coach, effective immediately. Maciejewski has served as the interim head coach of the two programs since August 2023.

"Jeff's impressive qualifications, along with strong endorsements from both student athletes and trusted sources, solidify him as the ideal choice to lead our program," Sorrells said. "Jeff has a deep understanding of our culture, and I am confident that under his leadership, our golf program will attain remarkable success."

Maciejewski was a member of the LCU men's golf team from 2017-2022.  His career culminated with a 12th place finish at the 2022 Lone Star Conference Championship, as he recorded a season-best tournament score of 209 and a career-best 67 in his final collegiate round. His senior season, Maciejewski headed into the LSC Championships with 23 rounds under his belt and averaging a team-leading 74.0 per round. Maciejewski carded four rounds in the 60s and seven rounds par or better en route to becoming a two-time All-Lone Star Conference selection. On September 19, 2019, Maciejewski claimed LSC Men's Golfer of the Week after finishing eighth at the Farmer's Insurance Samuel Proal Invitational in Pueblo, Colo.

"I had a competitive drive as a player that I thought was unmatched until I began coaching… there is nothing more fulfilling than seeing that competitive drive come from the players," Maciejewski stated. "I am excited for the opportunity to take LCU golf to another level in the Lone Star Conference and build two teams (men's and women's) and do what I can as a coach to bring home more championships to LCU. Lubbock Christian has and always will be home to me and I couldn't be more excited to fill this role."

Maciejewski served as a graduate assistant coach during the 2022-23 season under former head men's and women's golf coach Gary Belt. "I am so happy for Jeff… he is a fantastic choice for the job," said Belt. "He loves LCU and the golf program. His exceptional playing experience and love for the game will help him be a successful college coach."
