Neil Linhart moved into an administrative role in January 2024 as the Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance and Student Services after four years on the Cardinal football staff. He oversees the day-to-day compliance needs and education of student-athletes and staff while also  working closely with academic advisors.

Jewell Highlights
• Led the offense to an improvement of six points per game, averaging 31 points per game, second in the GLVC in 2020
• Passing offense led the conference with more than 380 yards per game in first season
• Team was second in the GLVC with 438.7 yards of total offense per game in the abbreviated season (2020)
• Coached 12 All-GLVC performers in four seasons seasons
• Earned first win as a head coach on September 2, 2023 in a 42-6 win over Fort Lewis College.  


Prior to Jewell
• Came from South Dakota School of Mines where he spent two seasons as the offensive coordinator
• Led his team to breaking or tying 27 offensive school records and led the NCAA-II in passing yards per game
• Coached seven All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference selections, including running back Ahmad Lewis who set the SDSM rushing record with nearly 1,400 yards
• Spent two seasons at Presentation College (S.D.) where he led the Saints to national rankings in the top 40 in passing yards, points and yards per game
• Spent four years at Central Lakes College (Minn.) during which time mentored a three All-Americans and led his team to a national ranking in four consecutive seasons
• Also made stops at Bemidji State (Minn.) and Eureka College (Ill.) 
 

Playing Career2
• Played collegiately as a wide receiver at Millikin University.                       


Personal
• Earned his undergraduate degree in exercise science with an emphasis in sports management
• Holds a master's in sports, recreation and tourism from the University of Illinois
• Married to wife Samantha and is the father of son Walker
