Ezri Shor Named Head Men's Volleyball Coach

The Baruch College Athletic Department is proud to announce the appointment of Ezri Shor as the new Head Coach of the Men's Volleyball Team.

Shor was appointed in August as Head Coach of the the Women's Volleyball Team, now naming her as Head Coach for the entire program.

She coached the Women's Team to the CUNYAC semifinals and exceeded expectations as the Bearcats finished second in the regular season standings after being predicted by coaches to finish fourth.  
 
"I would like to welcome Ezri to the Head Coaching ranks, now for the men's team as well, and am happy that she chose to start her collegiate coaching career with us as a Bearcat. I know her elevated level of playing experience and other coaching experiences will be value added to our men's team. I am confident as she continues to grow as a coach we can look forward to more great things to come with her at the helm in the hopes of achieving similar results for the men as last year," said Director of Athletics & Recreation Heather Mac Culloch.

Shor previously served as an assistant coach of the Baruch Men's and Women's volleyball program during the 2022-23 year that culminated with the Men's Team winning the CUNYAC Championship and berth to the 2023 NCAA Tournament.

"It is an honor to be the head coach of both volleyball programs here at Baruch,' said Shor "I am looking to carry on the success the men's program has seen over the years and continue to further strengthen the program."

The native of Brooklyn is no stranger to CUNYAC volleyball as she played three years on the Brooklyn College Women's Volleyball Team, which in 2021 won the Bulldogs' first CUNYAC title in 39 years. For her efforts, she was voted as MVP of that Championship Tournament.

She was also named a CUNYAC All-Star twice (2019, 2021) and was voted the CUNYAC Rookie of the Year in 2018 in an undergraduate career filled with accolades.

Shor's academic honors at Brooklyn College included being named a 2022 CUNYAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year Honorable Mention and September (2021) CUNYAC Hospital for Special Surgery Scholar-Athlete of the Month.

She graduated from Brooklyn College in June 2022 with a double major in Business Administration and Business Management, as well as a double minor in Business Law and Chemistry.

In addition to her undergraduate success, she was also a 2017 gold medalist at the 20th Maccabiah World Games in Israel with the Junior USA Volleyball Team.
