FRANKLIN – Franklin College Director of Athletics Lance Marshall has tabbed Dillon Taylor as the new head coach of the Franklin men's and women's volleyball programs, effective immediately.

"I am thrilled that Coach Taylor will be joining the Franklin College family and leading our women's and men's volleyball programs," Marshall said. "It was clear in the search process that Coach Taylor has the experience, enthusiasm and critical thinking skills that we value at Franklin College. We are very excited for Coach Taylor and the future of both programs under his leadership."

"First, I'd like to thank Athletic Director Lance Marshall, Associate Athletic Director Angie Bain, Vice President Andy Hendricks, and the rest of the Franklin College athletic department for this amazing opportunity," Taylor added. "Franklin is a great institution with incredible students and staff, and I'm lucky to get to call myself a Grizzly. I'm ready to develop a consistent HCAC competitor here at Franklin."

Taylor joins the Grizzlies following a coaching stint at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, where he joined the staff as an assistant for the men's and women's programs in 2022. While with the Pomeroys, Taylor helped guide the women's program to 54 total wins over a two-year stretch with each season culminating in appearances in the River States Conference (RSC) tournament.

He assisted with all facets on and off the court with the women's program, with his primary coaching focus on the defensive side of the ball. Taylor also played a vital role with the creation of the SMWC men's program, with their first season taking place in 2022-23.

Outside of the college coaching realm, Taylor has served as the head coach at Sullivan High School since 2021, accumulating 64 wins over three seasons and coaching seven all-conference players, three Indiana All-Stars and one all-district player. He has also spent time coaching at the club level, working with the Crossroads of America Volleyball Club since 2020.

Taylor is a 2019 graduate of Indiana State University, where he earned a B.S. in mathematics and mathematics teaching. He is currently working towards his masters degree in leadership development at SMWC with a focus in sports leadership.
