Winona State announces coaching change in women's soccer

WINONA, Minn. - The Winona State University Athletic Department has announced a change in the women's soccer coaching staff.

Head coach Jill Leibforth has resigned her position to accept the women's soccer head coaching position at Kalamazoo College.  Leibforth was named the women's soccer coach at Winona State University in January of 2023.  Prior to being named as the head coach at WSU, Leibforth had been a part of the WSU program coaching staff since July 2022.

Winona State earned a 9-6-4 record and 7-4-4 mark in NSIC play in the 2022 season, qualifying for the NSIC Tournament that season.  In 2023, WSU went 3-7-7 overall and 2-6-6 in NSIC action.

A national search for Leibforth's replacement will be conducted.
