NACDA Announces Staff Promotions

CLEVELAND – The National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and Chief Executive Officer Pat Manak have announced staff promotions at the National Office, effective immediately.

"As NACDA has grown as an Association, our staff has grown and developed as well," Manak said. "We are fortunate to have a talented team of individuals who have risen to the occasion to meet the challenges presented by the changing landscape of our industry and provide a first-class experience for our membership. Noreen, Nick and Kevin are integral parts of this team and are very deserving of this next step in their journeys."

Noreen Byrne has been promoted to Vice President.

Byrne has guided the NACDA business office since the fall of 2012, overseeing the day-to-day accounting and billing for NACDA and its 18 Affiliate Associations. Her responsibilities also include financial reporting (internal and external), budgeting and strategic planning, investments and treasury functions, risk management, compensation and benefits management. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the Ohio Society of CPAs.

Nick Strah has been promoted to Senior Director.

Strah returned to NACDA full-time in April 2022 after spending nearly six years at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in Indianapolis, serving in a variety of roles in Championships and Alliances since 2016. One of six former NACDA interns on staff, Strah works as an Association liaison specifically with NACMA, ICLA, NAATSO and NAIA-ADA.

Kevin Hulsmann has been promoted to Director.

Hulsmann joined the NACDA staff in January 2022, and has spearheaded communications efforts for the Affiliate Associations. During his time at the National Office, Hulsmann has implemented creative strategies to elevate and enhance the Affiliates' presence on social media and within collegiate athletics as a whole. He is also the primary administrator for the LEARFIELD Directors' Cup and the NACDA Daily Review.
