There's a new proposal in the Alabama Legislature, which would help financially struggling Birmingham-Southern College.BSC President Daniel Coleman issued a letter to supporters on Feb. 7, stating that Senate Bill 31 was introduced by State Sen. Waggoner for his steadfast support, especially through the last long year in pursuit of this critical funding. And we are also deeply grateful to the other 20 senators who have joined him in this effort, as well as to members of the House who have expressed support for BSC.", stated President Coleman.BSC's president also told supporters they will press for a speedy resolution since the state treasurer's decision in Oct. 2023 to deny funding to the college.
