- The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Men's Track and Field team hosted the Mark Guthrie Legacy Invitational Saturday afternoon.

THE RESULTS

   
FIELD EVENTS
  • High Jump - Nathan Andringa wins the high jump with a jump of 6-6 3/4. 
  • Pole Vault - Eagles take home three of the top four spots with Logan Larson winning the event with a measurment of 16-1 3/4. Andrew Tumminaro finished second (15-9 3/4) while Ashton Moody was fourth (15-3 3/4).
  • Long Jump - Andrew Hermes won the long jump with a jump of 23-6 1/4 while Carter Pearson was second (22-9 3/4).
  • Triple Jump - UWL finished second through sixth in the triple jump with Pearson leading the way with a jump of 45-10. In third place was Nick Crary (44-9) followed by Gabe Olsen (44-7), Brody Kluge (44-61/4) and William Cady (44-41/4). 
  • Shot Put - Ben Youngworth was the Eagles top finisher in the shot put with a throw of 53-6 1/4.
  • Weight Throw - Aiden Williams finished third in the weight throw (56-2) while Logan Powers was fourth (55-8 1/4). 
    TRACK EVENTS 
  • Mile - UWL dominated the mile run as the top nine finishers were in Eagle uniforms. Michael Madoch broke the school record with a time of 4:08.78 beating the previous record of 4:10.13 set by Tom Linner in 2016. Also breaking the school record was Parker Heintz (4:09.11) and Adam Loenser (409.38). In fourth place was Aidan Matthai with a time of 4:10.77 followed by Grant Matthai (4:11.13). 
  • 60-meter hurdles -  Luke Schroeder breaks his own school record with a time of 7.80 which he set at the Pat Healy Classic on January 20. Also finishing in the top five was Chad Thompson Jr. in fourth place (8.25) followed by Lukas Johnson (8.32). 
  • 60-meter dash - Sam Blaskowski breaks his own National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) III national record with a time of 6.64. Blaskowski his previous record at 6.65 during the 2023 season. Ryder Smith finished fourth in a time of 6.85.
  • 400-meter - Collin Conzemius was the Eagles top finisher in the 400-meter with a time of 48.83 (third place) while Davis Wenthe finished fourth (48.88) and Addison Hill was fifth (49.07).
  • 200-meter - Schroeder led three Eagles in the top five in the 200-meter as he finished first with a time of 21.54. Paul Lough was fourth (22.43) while Ethan Turbeville was fifth (22.49). 
  • 3000-meter - UWL took home the top four spots in the 3000-meter run with Joey Sullivan finishing first in a time of 8:21.57. In second place was Corey Fairchild in a time of 8:27.81 followed by Luke Chaffin (8:29.38) and Aidan Manning (8:30.96). 
  • 4x400 relay - The relay team of Conzemius, Wenthe, Caden Pearce and Hill won the 4x400 relay in a time of 3:15.37.
