DURANGO, Colo. – The Fort Lewis College men's and women's golf teams have welcomed Shea Sena and Sean Griswold as the team's new coaches, Sena serving as the coordinator of golf operations and women's coach and Griswold serving the men's program.

"We are excited to unveil our new structure and welcome Shea and Sean to their new roles," said Director of Athletics Travis Whipple. "They are passionate about putting the student-athlete experience at the center, and this group is also committed to excellence and taking our program to the top."

Sena is no stranger to the golf community in Durango and is the current owner and director of the Elevated Golf Academy, which is located at Dalton Ranch Golf Club. Sena and his team have provided instruction for hundreds of adults and junior golfers at every level. Prior to stepping into that role, he spent time as an assistant golf professional at Hillcrest Golf Club and the Glacier Club. An alumnus of Fort Lewis College, Sena graduated with a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science in 2012.

"Shea is extremely deserving of this opportunity. We are grateful for all that he has done and continues to do for golf in the area. He is one of our own and will excel in this new role," said Whipple.

Griswold, an active member of the Durango community for the past 30 years, joins the Skyhawks as an astute local business owner and golf specialist. An NCAA Division I student-athlete at Arizona State University, he turned his competitive energy to golf following his years with the SunDevils. For the past 30 years, he has been actively involved with amateur golf at a local, state, and national level.

"Sean is a competitor and an elite golfer who has a proven track record of success. He is excited to give back, provide vision, and has already been able to make an impact on FLC Golf," recognized Whipple.
