CARBONDALE, Ill. - Southern Illinois basketball fans will notice a major improvement inside Banterra Center with the installation of a brand new Watchfire video board system.
Watchfire, a Danville, Illinois-based company partnered with Southern Illinois University and Saluki Athletics to bring top-of-the-line LED boards including four 10-foot by 16-foot display panels to create a center-hung scoreboard. The project also entails display rings at the top and bottom of the scoreboard.
The system includes a pair of fully LED boards measuring 15 feet by 8 feet that will display real-time statistics. Powered by MotionRocket, the new system fully integrates with existing displays throughout Banterra Center.
Watchfire offers an industry-leading 3.9 mm pixel pitch – allowing for high-resolution viewing throughout the arena.
