Calaeb Haire Named Next Head Coach of Lake Erie Volleyball

PAINESVILLE, Ohio -- Lake Erie College Athletics announced today that Calaeb Haire has been named the next head coach of the Storm volleyball program.

"Coach Haire makes an excellent addition to the Storm," said Molly Hoffman, Executive Director of Athletics. "He brings a wealth of knowledge not only of the sport but of NCAA Division II. I am excited to see what the future holds."

Haire most recently served as the Head Coach for Girls Volleyball at Mundelein High School in Mundelein, Illinois. In two seasons he guided the Mustangs to a 35-29 record mentoring three North Suburban Conference All-Conference Selections. While coaching at MHS, Haire was employed with Sky High Volleyball Club (Crystal Lake, IL) where he was a Site Manager for the location based in Libertyville, Illinois and coached the 18 Black and 12 Red teams this past club season. Prior, he was the head coach at Ursuline College from 2019-2021. In his time at Ursuline, his mentorship guided several athletes to receive All-Conference selection and maintain the highest team GPA across all athletic teams.

"I am excited to lead and inspire the talented group of student-athletes within the women's volleyball program, said Haire. "My passion for the sport, coupled with a dedication to fostering both athletic and personal growth, aligns seamlessly with Lake Erie College's values. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Executive Director of Athletics, Molly Hoffman, and the entire hiring committee for entrusting me with the responsibility of leading the women's volleyball program. Your commitment to the success of Lake Erie College's athletic programs is evident, and I am honored to be a part of this dynamic team. I am eager to collaborate with the administration, coaching staff, and, most importantly, the talented student-athletes within the women's volleyball program. Together, we will build upon the program's storied legacy, fostering a culture of hard work, resilience, and unity."

Prior to his arrival at Ursuline, he spent time at Youngstown State University where he was an Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator (2018-2019) and Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) as an Assistant Coach (2016-2018). He graduated from Tennessee Tech University in 2013 with his Bachelor of Science in Education-Multidisciplinary Studies.
