ST. PAUL, Minn.- Jay Mayes is currently in the midst of preparations for this upcoming Spring where he will once again serve as the UNW Men's Lacrosse Head Coach. However, that will not be the only role that he will serve in this upcoming season. Coach Mayes has been named to the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Committee.

"I am humbled and excited to be appointed to the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Committee," Coach Mayes said. "This commitment gives me the opportunity to serve alongside other coaches and administrators as we plan for, shape, and implement the DIII Men's Lacrosse Championship."
 
Coach Mayes will begin serving on the national committee this upcoming season and his term will end in the August of 2027.

Coach Mayes is entering his third consecutive year as the Eagles head coach and his fourth overall. As a member of the national committee, Coach Mayes will be heavily involved in the planning and implementation of the 2024 NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse National Championships.
