Lindsey (Congdon) Terjanian ‘17 Named Head Women's Lacrosse Coach

Gordon College Interim Athletic Director Brian Lane and Gordon College Athletics are pleased to announce the hiring of Lindsey (Congdon) Terjanian '17 as the next women's lacrosse coach.

Most recently, Terjanian returned to her alma mater this past August as the lead assistant for the women's lacrosse program, playing an integral role during the Fighting Scots' non-traditional season as well as recruiting and alumni relations.

"We are thrilled to welcome Lindsey back home as our next women's head lacrosse coach," said Lane. "Lindsey not only brings a wealth of knowledge and experience of the lacrosse, but most importantly, Lindsey will be a positive mentor for our student-athletes; focused on continuing to cultivate a Christ-centered environment. We could not be more excited for what is to come for the program."

No stranger to the collegiate coaching ranks, Terjanian was appointed the head coach of the Wentworth Institute of Technology Women's Lacrosse Program in July of 2022 where she coached the Leopards throughout the 2022-2023 season in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC). Prior to Wentworth, Terjanian began her coaching carer at the high school level, first at nearby Bishop Fenwick as the head varsity coach before settling in at Lexington Christian Academy as a dual role as the head varsity girls lacrosse coach as well as spending time as the middle school assistant.

During her playing career as a Scot, Terjanian was a four-year starter for the blue and white, holding down the defensive line in all but one game throughout her career, compiling 115 ground balls and 74 caused turnovers. The two-year captain played her way to an all-conference honor in 2017 as well as a three-time member of the academic all-conference team. Terjanian earned a bachelor of science in elementary education and mathematics from Gordon College in 2017.

"I am incredibly grateful and very excited and for the opportunity to lead this program," said Terjanian. "I'd like to thank Brian Lane as well as the administration for entrusting me to continue to grow a championship culture within the lacrosse program, while equally focused on academics, leadership and faith development. This program was such a gift to me during my time at Gordon and I can clearly see how much the game, my coaches, and past teammates have positively impacted and influenced me over the years. I am thrilled to be back at Gordon and to continue the work that has been paved before us and to use it as a catapult into the next stage of Gordon Lacrosse. I can't wait to get started!"

Terjanian inherits a Fighting Scots squad who went 7-9 overall and 2-6 in conference play in the 2023 season.
