ALAMOSA, Colo. – Adams State University Athletic Director Katelyn Smith has announced that she has accepted the resignation of Volleyball Head Coach Julie Allen.

"We appreciate Coach Allen's contributions to the Volleyball program this past year and we wish her the best with future endeavors," said Smith.

Allen, who had just completed her first year as head coach for the Grizzlies, was hired as the 11th Head Coach in program history on Feb. 20, 2023, after replacing 17-year veteran head Coach Lindy Mortensen.

Allen, helped lead the Grizzlies to an 8-18 record in the 2023 campaign including a 4-10 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) record.

Smith noted that a nationwide search for the Grizzlies 12th head coach in program history will begin immediately.
