Taylor Clarke Steps Down As Carroll's Women's Soccer Coach

After taking Carroll's women's soccer team to this year's CCIW Conference Tournament Championship game in his only season with the Pioneers, Head Coach Taylor Clarke has announced that he is stepping down to take a similar position at NCAA Division-I Eastern Michigan University.

"Coach Clarke has had a profound impact in a short amount of time within our women's soccer program and athletic department. He has helped elevate the program to new heights this year, and has laid a path for what this program can accomplish on  yearly basis," Carroll Athletic Director Michael Schulist said. "I wish Coach Clarke and his family nothing but the best in their next chapter, and I'm eager to find the next coach that will continue to elevate and lead these young women towards future success."

In his only season as the sixth Head Women's Soccer Coach in Carroll University history, Clarke led the Pioneers to an 11-6-3 overall record, including a 4-1-3 record in the CCIW, which placed them third in the conference standings. Nine of their 11 wins came via shutout.

Clarke graduated with his undergraduate degree from Saginaw Valley State University in 2014, and obtained his masters at Ashland University in 2016. At SVSU, Clarke played four seasons for the Cardinals, playing in 76 career games, while recording four goals and two assists. Clarke and the Cardinals were Division-II National Runner-Ups in 2012.

A national search for Clarke's replacement will begin immediately.
