Term-in-Ology: Renting Dorms to Prospects and Student-Athletes in the Summer
NCAA Division I schools may rent, at the regular institutional rate, dormitory space to a prospective or enrolled student-athlete during the summer months if it is the institution's policy to make dormitory space available on the same basis to all prospective or enrolled students.
Football, men’s basketball, or women’s basketball student-athletes participating in summer access activities may receive housing from their NCAA member school per summer access benefit provisions.
Athletics Veritas is presented for information purposes only and should not be considered advice or counsel on NCAA compliance matters. For guidance on NCAA rules and processes, always consult your university’s athletics compliance office, conference office, and/or the NCAA.
