Term-in-Ology: Calling Prospects More Flexible Around National Signing Day
In sports other than football, the initial National Letter of Intent signing day for 2021-22 is next Wednesday, November 10, 2021. Coaches’ ability to call prospects on and after the national signing day is generally very permissive.
Per NCAA recruiting rules, coaching staff members may make unlimited telephone calls to a prospect on the initial date for the National Letter of Intent signing and during the two days immediately following the initial signing date.
In football, it’s even more flexible— football coaching staff members may make unlimited phone calls to prospects during the period 48 hours before and 48 hours after 7:00am on the initial signing date for the National Letter of Intent. Football's initial signing date is December 15, 2021.
