Young Harris will depart the Peach Belt and join Conference Carolinas as its 14th member starting in 2023-24. Conference Carolinas Commissioner Colvin: “We have accomplished our goal of continuing to make Conference Carolinas stronger with the addition of Young Harris. They align tremendously with our conference beliefs and values, while also being a first-class institution with a commitment to a strong athletics program. ... Taking advantage of the geographic alignment of our membership and regionalizing scheduling has been a goal of the Conference Carolinas Board of Directors for some time. This three-division concept will promote regional rivalries and provide additional opportunities for institutions to strive for regular-season division championships.
