Ripon names Illinois Wesleyan Asst. AD for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion/Director of T&F Schumacher as the Red Hawks' next AD, effective June 1. Schumacher: "Athletics should be an extension of the College. It should not be its own entity. We want our College and our teams to have a welcoming environment. I'm looking forward to taking my experience to help mentor young, energetic coaches. I am particularly excited to have a broader impact across the entire campus, both in and out of athletics, as a visible leader whose life philosophy of faith, equity, service and compassion can help lead and grow Ripon College. This role expands my impact to provide leadership in developing strategies that advance the department's and College's goals of diversity, equity and inclusion, as well as create, develop and implement leadership programs that enhance the experience of student-athletes."
