Regis names Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships Gilhooly as its new Assoc. VP/AD/Director of Strategic Partnerships. GLIAC Commissioner Dunbar joined Extra Points purveyor Matt Brown at the NCAA Convention to dive into the league's media rights deal with FloSports. Dunbar touches on leveling up the standard through a conference wide network, selling the idea of a paywall, what she learned from the media rights process and more. Dunbar: “We'd love to be the best Division II conference with our streaming product and have our fans and the people that watch us get a really great broadcast, but yes it does come as an expense sure, which does help when you have some media rights funding behind that that we can disperse and give to our members. D1.ticker/Connect’s Fischer sat down with NCAA Managing Director of Inclusion Wilson to discuss her office's efforts, membership resources, the upcoming Inclusion Forum, the status of the Senior Minority Administrator proposal and more. Wilson says the Inclusion Forum’s theme will be power of proximity. “So, thinking about being back together, sharing our lived experiences, learning from each other, networking, sharing our sound practices that really work.” Wilson also says she’s been somewhat surprised by the pace at which the culture has changed around gender equity but adds: “I’m proud of the way colleagues have embraced this, and we don’t want that to just be a moment in time where it was a very public situation where action was certainly required for our student-athletes but that it’s an ongoing commitment. Conference Carolinas will begin sponsoring Men’s Wrestling in 2023-24, ending its co-sponsor arrangement with the SAC. Five SAC members – Coker, Emory & Henry, Limestone, Lincoln Memorial and Newberry – will become Conference Carolinas affiliates, joined in the same capacity by Allen, Bluefield State and Montevallo.
